I only know what I’ve heard about him, which I don’t really love what I’ve heard. So I hate to be compared to somebody who has treated Taylor like that,” he said.

He also admitted the comparisons occurred while filming the show, main to him feeling “targeted.”

“On the show, it got a little silly…It was not just the boys, it was the show in general. Just the whole, people would bring him up, I would be there thinking, ‘I’m right here.’”

“There was a point…where I felt that they were targeting me, yup. But not the guys,” he added later. “The guys, at the end of the day, we all were there to see what happens. So even if there were little, I don’t want to call it envy or jealousy because at the end of the day [everybody] had so much to offer.”

“…To be honest with you, I’m pretty good at disarming…I moved around my whole life, so I’ve constantly locked in to people who don’t know and they judge me,” he added. “So I’m very used to that. I think there’s a certain point during this journey that it becomes evident that people are judging me before they get to know me, so you guys are just going to have to wait and see.”

Doug’s commentary comes as he has grabbed headlines since Taylor’s season was canceled, after he turned the first man to converse out about it on social media and throw help in the direction of her.

“In light of everything that has happened, I am just sending prayers to Taylor because that was her moment and her moment was blacked,” he said at the time.
