BBC Breakfast presenter Nina Warhurst has shared a heartfelt update with followers concerning her grief following her father’s death in July.

The BBC favorite revealed that her dad, Chris, died on Wednesday (July 2), with Nina, 44, and her family members remaining at his bedside until his closing moments.

Nina had beforehand revealed that Chris obtained a dementia diagnosis in 2022, and she had been candid about how the household had been supporting him through his sickness.

During the summer season months, Nina admitted that she “can’t quite accept” her father’s passing and revealed the touching closing moments they shared together.

She shared a shifting {photograph} on Instagram exhibiting her clasping her dad’s hand, delivering a heartfelt tribute to him.

Taking to Instagram this week, Nina supplied a candid update to her 47.9K followers concerning her bereavement as she posted a video of a bathtub being drawn alongside an emotional message.

The message acknowledged: “Self care… it wasn’t the bath that made me feel better it was that I thought I was someone worth running a bath for” accompanied by a coronary heart emoji.

Nina expanded on her ideas in the post’s caption: “This week I decided to seek professional help for my grief. At the end of the first counselling session she asked, ‘has this done what you’d hoped?’

“I realised it had taken me a long time to make the call that I knew needed to occur, and that just by choosing up the telephone I had turn into stronger and more succesful of wanting after myself. I felt proud.

“Whenever I get in the bath I don’t stay there very long. But it is a statement to myself that I am allowed to take time for something that to me still feels luxurious and frivolous.

“The placebo of recognising a need and doing one thing about it’s as big as the act”, she urged her followers: “Try it” with heart emojis.

Nina was inundated with messages of support, with one fan writing: “You are doing amazingly always astounded how skilled you’re studying the news and juggling a younger household and all the dynamics concerned you need to be proud of your self on many ranges x thanks for sharing your tales with us love seeing your stunning household grow and prosper x.”
