The Antiques Road Trip crew has been pressured to handle an ongoing issue on the BBC show’s official Instagram account. Sharing a {photograph} from the show, the accompanying phrases revealed that people have been hurling abuse on the social media platform about the beloved programme.

The upsetting post read: “Thank you for joining us for another wonderful series of Antiques Road Trip. We’re so grateful to everyone who’s watched along with us. But we need to address something openly. Over the past weeks, the number of disrespectful and frankly appalling comments on this page has grown far beyond what’s acceptable. This used to be a warm, welcoming community where people could share their love of the show.”

It continued: “Our experts are real people, doing their best, and yes — they read these comments. No one deserves to be spoken about that way.

“We need to be completely clear: this behaviour isn’t acceptable. We anticipate better. Please deal with our crew and each other with the respect every particular person deserves.”

Fans flocked to comment on the concerning post, with one writing: “This is such a disgrace, as I really like this show so a lot. I’ve not caught up yet, as I would like to cherish the episodes. Everyone is so great and beautiful.”
