Strictly Come Dancing returned to screens for the outcomes show on Sunday October 12 as another couple left the show following the dreaded dance off. However some viewers have been too distracted by the new format of the BBC show to focus on what was occurring on screen with many taking to X to complain about what they felt have been uneccessary adjustments.

“Honestly what have been the producers pondering with this outcomes show construction? Change it back #Strictly,” one fumed. “I do not like the new format of #Strictly results show. If they want to freshen it up, I’d suggest having it live late Saturday night (as spoilers ruin it) and then make Sunday an It Takes Two-style show but with dances & repeat of the dance off/results,” a second advised. A 3rd merely said: “This new way to announce the bottom two is so dumb and unnecessary. why fix something that isn’t broken?”

A fourth chimed in:” Dear @bbcstrictly please put the results format and music back how they were at year, it wasn’t broken, this isn’t an improvement.”

A fifth commented: “New results show format features the judges way too much #Strictly.” Meanwhile a sixth fumed: “Just get on with the b***** results!! New format is so bad for how long it takes.”

Their outrage got here as Lorraine’s Hollywood coresspondent Ross King and his professonal associate Jowita Przystał foxtrotted out of the building after dropping the dance off.

Following the public vote, which was added to the choose’s scores, the pair discovered themselves in the underside two alongside EastEnders star Balvinder Sopal and her associate Julian Caillon.

Both {couples} carried out their routines again with Ross and Jowita dancing their Paso Doble to the theme from Thunderbirds Are Go and Balvinder and Julian doping a Foxtrot to The Way You Look Tonight from the film Swing Time.

Despite Ross and Jowita’s best efforts the judges voted overwhemlingly to save Balvinder and Julian. After Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke voted Head Judge Shirley Ballas – who had the casting vote – said that she would also have chosen to save Balvinder and Julian, ought to she have been required to vote. His exit proved prophetic as he had been the favorite to depart this week.

Tearfully paying tribute to his associate he said: “I want to thank a very special lady who has been with me through it all and has been absolutely everything: she’s been a mentor, teacher, carer…” he said as Jowita quipped “barista!”

“…I could not have wished for a better partner, and I could not have wished to be on a better show. Thank you judges for all your remarks.”
