The veteran journalist also opened up about how the disease has touched his own household.

Ritter disclosed that his father handed away from Alzheimer’s in 1998 and famous he has understood the condition’s results for years.

“I am not a stranger to this disease,’ he said. ‘My dad died with it in June 1998.”
