Long-time WABC-TV host Bill Ritter has been a recognizable presence for New York audiences for many years. He initially joined the ABC flagship station in 1998 and turned one of its most outstanding anchors.

The veteran journalist also opened up about how the disease has touched his own household.

Ritter disclosed that his father handed away from Alzheimer’s in 1998 and famous he has understood the condition’s results for years.

“I am not a stranger to this disease,’ he said. ‘My dad died with it in June 1998.”
