Better Call Saul star Russell Andrews has revealed his ALS diagnosis.

The 64-year-old actor made the announcement during an look on GWN‘s The Story Is with Elex Michaelson on Saturday, May 16, alongside his fiancée, Erica Tazel, from Justified. Russell opened up about studying he had the condition, generally referred to as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, acknowledged as the most prevalent kind of Motor Neuron Disease.

Russell shared, “I was diagnosed in the late fall of last year. Reflecting on the second Russell acquired his diagnosis, Erica continued, “I was uncharacteristically calm, and in a way, it was an answer to a lot of questions that we had.

“[There] was not a sigh of aid, but some understanding of what was occurring. And I regarded at him across the room, and I said, ‘At least now we all know what it’s, and I still need to be your spouse.’ “

On what this profound experience has taught her about love, she confessed: “There are circumstances where it’s actually unconditional.”

Russell has revealed his collaboration with the ALS Network for ALS Awareness Month this May. In a statement on their website, he said, “Receiving this diagnosis modified my life.
