Blackhawks Nick Foligno takes leave of absence…

CHICAGO — Blackhawks captain Nick Foligno is taking a leave of absence because his 12-year-old daughter is having follow-up surgical procedure associated to her congenital coronary heart disease.

The workforce made the announcement on Wednesday. It said it had no additional remark.

Foligno, who turns 38 on Oct. 31, is in his third season with Chicago. The ahead has no objectives and two assists in 4 video games.

Foligno grew to become the thirty fifth captain of the Original Six workforce in September 2024. His father, Mike, performed in the NHL for 15 years, and his brother, Marcus, performs for Minnesota.
