Fans of “Boy Meets World” actor William Daniels initially believed he had died on Thursday when the 98-year-old posted a throwback photograph on social media to promote a sale on his signed headshots.
The longtime actor’s followers, who apparently didn’t read the post’s caption, noticed the image and assumed it was a death announcement.

“Something about this time of year always takes me back to one of my favorite roles as Mr. Feeny,” Daniels captioned under an outdated image of himself dressed as his legendary character from the hit ‘90s show. “Let’s celebrate this back-to-school season with 10% off all signed Feeny photos from our shop, now through September 15th! Link to store in bio.”
Social media customers flooded his remark part, claiming they’re grateful that he’s alive.
“You can’t keep scaring me like this,” one Instagram person commented.
“Dang, we all really thought the same thing here didn’t we?” another requested.

“I hate the fact that every time I see these posts, my heart drops,” a commenter wrote.
Daniels portrayed the favored mentor to characters like Cory, Topanga, Shawn and Eric in the coming-of-age show that adopted their journey from sixth grade through faculty.
The ABC sequence, which starred Daniels, Ben Savage, Rider Strong and Danielle Fishel, aired from 1993 to 2000.
The sitcom star has yet to reply to the followers who stuffed his remark part with appreciation posts after they jumped to conclusions about his demise.
While “Boy Meets World” followers know him as Mr. Feeny, Daniels had a decades-long profession nicely before taking to the classroom.
The “St. Elsewhere” actor made his tv debut in 1943 at 16 years outdated by performing in a selection act.
He obtained his first “major” tv position over twenty years later in the 1967 show “Captain Nice.”

Daniels turned 98 on March 31 and shared that he’s grateful for all of the assist he’s obtained over his profession.
“Well, you have to be pleased, and I certainly am,” he told People someday after his birthday. “And I hope I’m around a little longer, and we’ll do it again next year.”
“The Graduate” actor still tries to get “some exercise” on a daily foundation, his spouse, Bonnie Bartlett Daniels, revealed to People.
“He’s very strong,” his spouse said. “His body is very strong, even now. So I just want him to keep it strong by exercising. We have a gal who comes in twice a week and puts us through a kind of routine.”
