Brady Cook getting another chance to start in…

Jets coach Aaron Glenn said Wednesday that undrafted rookie free agent quarterback Brady Cook will continue to start Sunday when the crew performs at Buffalo.

Glenn reiterated that Cook, who’s thrown seven interceptions and only one landing in his three-plus video games, “give us the best chance to win’’ despite the fact that veteran Tyrod Taylor is healthy and back with the crew after lacking some time for personal causes.

Asked if he’s seen enough of Cook to consider he’d be a dependable backup in 2026, Glenn was noncommittal.

 “I would really like to look at that at the end of the season,’’ he said. “He still has another recreation left, so we’ll see what occurs with this recreation and see how he operates.’’

 Cook on Wednesday said he’s “grateful’’ for the chance to start again.

“We’re going to Buffalo and I look ahead to placing a good product out on the sphere and balling out with these guys one last recreation this yr,’’ he said. “I’ve realized a lot from a quarterback perspective, from a chief perspective being on this crew and beginning video games for the first time and I’ve realized that it’s still soccer. 

“It’s the sport that we’ve performed our whole life. It’s a youngsters’ recreation, it’s a difficult one, it’s imperfect, but it’s the sport we love and you still have to have enjoyable doing it, and that’s form of the message this week is let’s go have enjoyable.

“Let’s go have enjoyable enjoying soccer and let’s execute, and let’s go see what we will do this last recreation.’’

Among the large group of gamers who didn’t observe Wednesday was RB Breece Hall, who rushed for 107 yards last week and eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark for the first time in his profession.

Hall had his knee banged in last week’s recreation, and it wouldn’t be a shock to see him sit on now that he’s reached that important milestone.

“It’s his knee,’’ Glenn said. “He just banged it. We’ll know throughout this week if he’ll have the opportunity to play.’’

The other gamers who didn’t observe included TE Mason Taylor, OL Xavier Newman, RB Isaiah Davis (concussion), CB Qwan’tez Stiggers, DE Micheal Clemons, and G Joe Tippmann. 

“We’ll see how the week goes and see how they operate,’’ Glenn said. 

Glenn was requested if, at 3-13 and the crew being blown out on a common foundation, he’s involved about his job security and what his “mindset’’ is getting into this season finale.

 “How do I beat the Bills,’’ Glenn said tersely. “That’s what I’m pondering about. That’s it.’’
