Inspired by the books from acclaimed novelist Peter Robinson, this hit sequence follows a police detective who investigates crimes in the city of Eastvale, Yorkshire. Veteran detective Alan Banks (Stephen Tompkinson) makes an attempt to remedy the murders with the help of his assistants DS Annie Cabbot (Andrea Lowe) and DI Helen Morton (Caroline Catz).
Stubborn yet sensible, Banks’ relentless pursuit of justice ceaselessly places him at odds with his superiors and colleagues, all while he grapples with the mounting pressure his job locations on his personal life. DCI Banks premiered in 2010 on ITV1 and ran for 5 seasons, concluding in 2015.
