The British Soap Awards have been plunged into chaos after it was reported that a ‘security menace’ pressured the superstar company to go away the after-party. The annual occasion, which was being held at London’s Hackney Town Hall, had seen a glamorous crimson carpet adopted by the awards ceremony, which was hosted by Jane MacDonald and appearing legend Sir David Jason. According to The Mirror, the glitzy after-party at a totally different venue was cut short as company have been ordered to go away the venue around 1 a.m. due to a security alert.

A source instructed The Mirror: “It was total panic. Security rushed around and told everyone to get out immediately. At first, they didn’t say why, but soon we were told there was a bomb threat. Everyone was left standing outside, confused and shocked.”

An ITV spokesperson mentioned to Express Online, “Owing to a security alert after the recording of the awards, it was necessary to evacuate the after-party venue. Everyone was cleared from the building safely.”

Filming of The British Soap Awards was reportedly in a totally different venue and had completed filming a few hours before the security alert. A call, which was deemed a security menace, was made in the early hours to the after-party venue.
