As summer time temperatures start hovering across California, a new rating is giving ice cream lovers a lot of excuses to cool off.
Yelp has launched its checklist of the 50 most-saved ice cream retailers in America — and the Golden State dominated the competitors, claiming 4 of the top 5 spots.
The food review platform analyzed person bookmarks and ranking data to come up with the checklist, which finds San Francisco creamery Mitchell’s Ice Cream at the top.

LA’s Mashti Malone’s and Busman’s Organic Milk Bar had been adopted by Meadowlark Dairy in the Northern California enclave of Pleasanton to spherical out the top 5.
Mashti Malone’s has over 1,000 five-star reviews and more than 400 four-star reviews, with three places in the better Los Angeles space (Westwood, Hollywood and Silver Lake).
