Charlie Kirk Show on Rumble suffers major | Political News
Vice President JD Vance skilled some technical difficulties while internet hosting a podcast in tribute to the conservative activist Charlie Kirk sparking listeners to get them organized to ‘repair the mics’.
Vance hosted Monday’s episode of “The Charlie Kirk Show” from his workplace in the White House. It comes after Kirk, 31, was fatally shot last Wednesday while talking at Utah Valley University.
Vance described Kirk as his “dear friend” who was a “joyful warrior for our country.”
During one segment, Vance spoke with White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller about Kirk’s legacy, but viewers were distracted by the vice president’s microphone, which appeared to emit an echo.
The issue appeared to be corrected after a short break.
Kirk, 31, founded the political organization Turning Point USA to draw more young, conservative evangelical Christians into politics. He was a confidant of President Donald Trump.
His casket arrived Thursday in Arizona aboard Air Force Two, accompanied by Vance.
Vance described Kirk as the “smartest political operative I’ve met” and said he was a “critical part of getting Donald Trump elected.”
“I wanted to use this show today to advocate for Charlie, to talk about him, to talk about what kind of a guy he was, what kind of a man he was, what kind of a husband and father he was,” Vance said.
Following Kirk’s death, Utah man Tyler Robinson, 22, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated murder and other felony offenses. Authorities are preparing to file capital murder charges against him as early as Tuesday.
Investigators have yet to provide details about the motive behind the attack.
Utah Governor Spencer Cox said that Robinson’s family and friends described the suspect’s politics as veering left in recent years.
“There clearly was a leftist ideology,” Cox told NBC. “Friends have confirmed that there was kind of that deep, dark internet, the Reddit culture, and these other dark places of the internet where this person was going deep.”
Cox said Robinson disliked Kirk and advised that he could have been “radicalized” online.
Taunting messages have been discovered engraved on the ammunition used to kill Kirk, which included anti-fascist language. Court data show that one bullet casing had, “Hey, fascist! Catch!” written on it.
Robinson is due to seem in court on Tuesday.
Turning Point USA will maintain a memorial for Kirk on September 21 at State Farm Stadium outdoors Phoenix.
