Claudia Winkleman thought Celeb Traitors series 2 | UK News

Claudia Winkleman has confessed she believed Celebrity Traitors producers have been “joking” when they revealed the celebrities who have dedicated to the upcoming series.

The first celeb instalment of the BBC sensation featured distinguished names including Alan Carr, Stephen Fry and Jonathan Ross in the forged – with fellow contributors labelling them the “big dogs” of the competition, studies (*2*)the Mirror.

Host Claudia was requested whether or not there have been any “big dogs” in the new series as she appeared on The One Show, and hinted: “There certainly are.”

“Really?” requested presenter Vernon Kay, trying excited.

“Yes,” Claudia confirmed. “The people who make it are extraordinary. And they had to repeat the people twice to me. Because I was like, ‘Huh? Are you joking? Come again?'”

“So we’re incredibly lucky,” she continued.

Vernon, who is married to Claudia’s earlier Strictly co-host Tess Daly, went on: “The success of series one, the list must be huge of people that want to do it. Because it was so much fun.”

“I, yeah, I hope so,” Claudia responded. “We are so grateful that people want to come and play the game.

“And the people who said yes for series one, I still cannot imagine it. I still, and I used to be type of shaking when you see Stephen Fry strolling around the citadel and Alan Carr and Ruth Codd, all of these people who I used to be type of obsessed by, so yeah, I’m very excited.”

The star maintained that she couldn’t share anything further, informing Vernon and his co-presenter Clara Amfo with a grin: “Don’t make eye contact with me!”

The previous instalment of Celebrity Traitors saw comedian Alan emerge victorious, defeating the likes of Kate Garraway, Celia Imrie, Charlotte Church and Tom Daley to win following a series that captivated audiences nationwide.

There has been a lot of speculation around which celebrities will be making their way to Ardross Castle for the second series of the hit programme, with names such as Ben Fogle, Danny Dyer, Louis Theroux, Jamie Oliver, Ruth Jones and Amanda Holden amongst those mentioned thus far.

The One Show airs at 7pm on BBC One on weekdays.
