“This name was initially taken by Tim Crompton for his band, but he wasn’t convinced at all, Chris asked if he could use this name and Tim accepted, because he wasn’t convinced at all. It hasn’t a true meaning. Guy also said that he still doesn’t like the name ‘Coldplay’, but it would be too late for changing it,” they completed.
