Colorado teen wins legal battle to repaint school…
A Colorado high school scholar who challenged her school’s ban on non secular designs for senior parking areas will now be allowed to repaint her space to replicate her Christian religion.
In August, Sophia Shumaker, a senior at Rampart High School in Colorado Springs’ Academy School District 20, requested permission to enhance her paid parking space with a design illustrating Jesus’ parable of the misplaced sheep.
The school has a custom of permitting seniors to reserve and pay for their own parking space and enhance it with school-approved paintings.
