Former University of Michigan (UM) head soccer coach Sherrone Moore pleaded no contest to two misdemeanors stemming from an incident that led to his arrest in December 2025, according to ABC News. BOSSIP beforehand reported about the costs he was going through: malicious use of a telecommunications gadget and trespassing.
As half of the plea settlement, prosecutors dropped the more severe allegations, including home invasion, stalking in a home relationship, and breaking and coming into in a home relationship. Moore is scheduled for sentencing on April 14, and the presiding decide ordered that he stay under GPS monitoring until that time.
The case started when Moore was arrested on Dec. 10, 2025, at the condo of a girl with whom he allegedly had a romantic relationship. Authorities said the incident occurred shortly after the connection ended. According to testimony introduced during court proceedings, the girl contacted her attorney Heidi Sharp during the encounter to inform her that Moore was at her residence. Sharp later told investigators that Moore had allegedly armed himself with a knife, and screaming could possibly be heard during the cellphone call.

Before the arrest, UM had already fired Moore after an inside investigation discovered what the college described as “credible evidence” that he engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a employees member, violating faculty coverage concerning supervisor-subordinate relationships.
Prosecutors said that after reviewing the evidence, they didn’t consider there was ample proof of home violence, which contributed to the choice to drop the more severe prices as half of the plea deal.
