Bill Anderson has been compelled to cancel a quantity of exhibits after a scary accident left him “unable to walk.”
The 87-yr-outdated nation singer had been scheduled to carry out at the Grand Ole Opry, but canceled the show after a “freak accident.” He shared the news on his web site.
“I twisted or tore some ligaments or muscles or something in the back of my left leg trying to climb into bed,” Bill explained. “And I fell to the ground unable to walk.”
The singer said the autumn left him in “excruciating pain.”
Bill was irritated at having to cancel his exhibits, sharing, “If you know me, you know how much it bothers me to go back on any commitment I have made.”
Bill does still have some more performances scheduled for the end of 2025, including Opry 100 on November 28.
Fans had been fast to rally around Bill when he made his announcement. “Praying for your speedy recovery,” one individual commented on Instagram.
