The Cowboys seem to have their eyes on Matt Eberflus.
Per a Friday night time report from ESPN, the previous Bears head coach is a “prime candidate” for the crew’s defensive coordinator job.
The information comes after the Cowboys promoted Brian Schottenheimer, after two seasons as the crew’s offensive coordinator, to exchange Mike McCarthy as the crew’s subsequent head coach.
Eberflus, the Bears head coach from 2022 till his firing late in 2024, was a linebackers coach for the Cowboys from 2011-17.

Eberflus’s teaching journey consists of a profitable tenure as the Colts’ defensive coordinator from 2018-21, the place he engineered two playoff-bound defenses.
