Right now, Texas is seemingly the middle of the congressional universe, between the Republican major battle for John Cornyn’s Senate seat, the back-and-forth between Democrat Reps. Lloyd Doggett and Greg Casar over the anticipated combining of their respective districts, and the continuing saga of the AWOL state Dems.
White House What’s Up
President Donald Trump had a busy Monday with his big announcement/press convention about federalizing D.C. law enforcement. His Tuesday seems quiet — for now.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt will maintain a press briefing at 1:00 PM Eastern.
Vice President JD Vance is in the UK. On Wednesday, he’ll go to U.S. troops stationed at Royal Air Force Base Fairford, England. He will obtain a briefing on the bottom’s capabilities and will ship remarks.

COMING ATTRACTIONS
Friday looms large with the extremely anticipated assembly between President Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. Will there be some headway made in the hassle to end the Russia-Ukraine warfare? (If there’s, it’s going to immediately be spun by the left/legacy media as one thing terrible — we are able to relaxation assured of that.)

MORNING MUSING
Whenever I occur upon the time period “execrable,” I immediately image Senator Adam Schiff (D-CA). (It’s true — he’s my phrase affiliation go-to on that.) So, while it runs counter to the better angels of my nature, I must confess I discover a degree of pleasure in seeing Schiff squirm.
I’ve not yet had an alternative to totally review the doc disclosures we had been handled to Monday night relating to whistleblower testimony indicating that Schiff, in specific, was the source of a number of leaks from the House Intelligence Committee (back when he served as the rating member and then chaired it). But you may wager your candy bippy I’ll be doing so today.
He might have slithered his method past the statute of limitations for felony prosecution functions, but I’d love to see this snake’s unethical machinations uncovered for all the world to see. Will it truly sink him? Eh…I’d say the possibilities of that are 50/50 at best. But between this revelation and his mortgage shenanigans, I’m totally having fun with the unfolding karma.
And I’m thanking my fortunate stars this swamp creature never grew to become head of the CIA.
