DOJ claims FBI cut corners with Clinton email | Political News

A newly declassified report from a Department of Justice watchdog group alleges that the FBI, under the lead of James Comey, cut corners and failed to totally examine Hillary Clinton’s personal email server.

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley submitted the report, which claimed the FBI didn’t totally examine the previous Secretary of State’s use of a personal email server during her tenure. Dubbed “Clinton annex,” the new data was connected to the unique report performed in 2018.

In the annex, which was obtained by The Express US, the DOJ claims that the FBI was handed a thumb drive from a source during the investigation, but then, FBI Director James Comey,then-Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe, former FBI Special Agent Peter Strzok, and others failed to perform additional, targeted searches of the drives.

The report details that the FBI also failed to “completely and fully examine the Clinton matter as a outcome, as effectively as vet the intense national security dangers created by Clinton’s careless handling of extremely labeled data.”
