Dolly Parton’s glitzy Las Vegas comeback could also be thrilling followers — but behind the scenes, friends are terrified the nation icon is pushing herself to breaking level following the death of her beloved husband Carl Dean. Sources informed RadarOnline.com that Dolly is hiding behind sequins and setlists to cope with “unbearable grief” — and they’re apprehensive the strain may put her in hazard. “Dolly is using work to bury herself in. She’s putting a very brave face on her grief, but everyone is scared she will literally now work herself to death,” said one insider.

“Carl and I spent many wonderful years together. Words can’t do justice to the love we shared for over 60 years. Thank you for your prayers and sympathy,” Dolly stated after his passing.

Speaking on the Today show, she mirrored: “I’ve loved him since I was 18 years old, and it’s a big adjustment just trying to change patterns and habits.”
