Donald Trump humiliated on live TV as US host takes | UK News
Donald Trump was left red-faced after American discuss show host Jimmy Kimmel took another brutal swipe at him live on air. On Friday evening (February 13), the 58-year-old presenter returned to the helm of his late-night show, opening the programme with a monologue about the latest news. It didn’t take long before the dialog turned to the Republican chief as he mentioned the latest fallout from the continuing investigation into American paedophile, Jeffrey Epstein.
The latest revelations from the information launched by the Department of Justice have sparked chaos in the UK, with Peter Mandelson, the previous US ambassador, struggling a fall from grace in current months. The Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer, is also going through calls to step down over appointing the 72-year-old politician as ambassador despite his hyperlinks to the American financier.
Now, the comic has taken a brutal swipe at Mr Trump in his latest night programme. He started his opening monologue with: “As you know, there are 535 members of Congress.
“Do you know how many computers the Department of Justice set up to let them look through the three million pages of Trump-Epstein files – trademark? Four. There are four computers for all of them to share.
“I called the Burbank library today; they have 22 computers, but the Trump-Epstein files have four. Pam Bondi has spent more time investigating the people who are reading the Epstein files than the people who are in the Trump-Epstein files.”
The viewers erupted into laughter at his outrageous feedback before the host moved on with the remainder of the show. It didn’t take long before viewers flocked to social media to share their ideas on his humorous feedback online.
One consumer penned: “In light of how many times Donald Trump is mentioned in the Epstein files, Jimmy Kimmel decided to give them a new name: the Trump-Epstein files. Wow.”
Another agreed: “Since Trump is mentioned more than 1 million times in the unredacted files – shouldn’t the files be called the Trump files at one point?” A 3rd chimed in with: “He was MENTIONED! That’s all we have! We must say it as many times as we can! Even though he was the one who outed Epstein!”
