Donald Trump makes 3-word dig at rumors of his | Political News
At his tech dinner on Thursday, President Donald J Trump made gentle of the latest online rumors about his ‘demise,’ after he had been unusually quiet and averted the press for a number of days.
Trump started by thanking the media, stating, “They’ve been very nice lately,” before segueing into his latest jest. “Although I’m still here. We had a couple of bad predictions, so that was not good. I’ve never had that feeling before,” Trump added.
Trump leaned into the online discourse: “I went to an event and people are coming up to me and saying, ‘You’re still here?’ I said ‘What do they mean by that? I didn’t hear about this.’”
Over the weekend, tons of of 1000’s of social media customers speculated that the President had handed away after he took a week-long hiatus from the public eye, which isn’t uncommon. The rumors have been shortly quashed when he posted on his Truth Social platform that he was alive and had “never felt better in my life.”
The heightened discussions about Trump’s death coincide with sightings of the president with large, unexplained bruises on the back of his proper hand, which the White House attributes to handshakes with world leaders —, swollen ankles, an uptick in weird gaffes, and his latest diagnosis of chronic venous insufficiency.
On Tuesday, Fox News reporter Peter Doocy questioned the president about the rumors, to which Trump denied seeing as he was “very active” over Labor Day weekend, conducting interviews, enjoying golf and posting “poignant” messages on Truth Social.
But now it appears that the online chatter has reached the White House fundraising staff. President Trump’s fundraising operation dispatched a number of emails to his supporters with subject strains studying “I’m alive!” or “I want to try and get to heaven.”
“The fake news media and the radical left tried to spread lies, saying your favorite President, Donald J. Trump was dead or sick,” the e-mail read. “Can you believe it? Disgraceful! Let me tell you something, I’m more alive than ever!” The fundraiser continued.
The emails urge supporters to contribute $15 during a “24-hour Trump fundraising blitz,” presenting his political endurance and legal challenges as evidence of divine intervention.
Trump made his first public official look in the Oval Office following a transient absence over the weekend, with many commenting on his ‘weathered’ look.

One liberal political commentator noticed, “He looks rough and more orange than normal. Wonder if the press will ask the important question of why he was absent for a week.”
As President Donald Trump‘s administration delivered its assertion, one reporter questioned Trump about how he found the rumors concerning his own death. Trump chuckled and responded, “Really? I didn’t see it, you know, I have heard it’s sort of crazy, but last week I did numerous news conferences, all successful. They went very well, like this is going very well, and then I didn’t do any for two days and they said there must be something wrong with him.”
Trump did not miss an alternative to take a swipe at his predecessor. “Biden wouldn’t do them for months. You wouldn’t see him and nobody said anything,” Trump quipped.
