Donald Trump suffers unprecedented blow as CNN | TV Shows

In a dramatic interruption, CNN made an emergency cut to deliver breaking news that struck a serious blow to US President Donald Trump, who recently made a chilling threat to Vladimir Putin if he refuses to stop the Ukraine war. As the glaring results rolled in, host Jessica Dean and chief data analyst Harry Enten delved into some of the worst ratings in history, coming as Trump appears to have softened his stance on Ukrainian President Volodymr Zelensky, whom he praised after their meeting at Pope Francis’ funeral.

Dean reported a significant disapproval rate, stating: “60% of Americans disapprove of his handling of foreign affairs. Our panel back with us – Harry, 60% disapprove. In a second slide we have, the confidence in Trump to handle foreign affairs, 27% say they have a lot of confidence, some confidence at 23%, 50% no confidence!”

Chiming in with a mixture of amusement and critique, Harry added: “Yeah I don’t think that that’s a particularly good rating. Any of those numbers are just horrible, and there’s no historical precedent!”

Continuing this line of unprecedented historic comparison, he added: “I think this is the thing I keep going back to – you compare where Donald Trump is right now on foreign policy, his approval rating, you can go all the way back through the record books. We’ve been testing foreign policy approval ratings at this point of presidency since Carter in 1977.”

He concluded with a damning observation: “It’s the lowest on record. You just look, on issue after issue whether it’s our poll or other polls when it comes to foreign policy and Trump is consistently below. They do not like what he is doing.”

Political analyst Brian Krassenstein stated: “Breaking: Only 39% of Americans approve of Trump’s foreign policies. In other words, he does not have a mandate! These are some of the worst numbers any president in American history has had in their first 100 days.”

According to CNN, Trump’s overall approval rating stands at a mere 41%, marking it as the “lowest for any newly elected president at 100 days dating back at least to Dwight Eisenhower.”
