US President Donald Trump has mentioned that his close advisor Elon Musk “can’t do and won’t do” something with out his authorities’s approval, amid issues over the tech billionaire’s rising affect on his administration.
“Elon can’t do and won’t do anything without our approval,” Trump mentioned on Monday.
“We’ll give him the approval where appropriate, where not appropriate, we won’t. But he reports in and it’s something that he feels very strongly about.”
Trump appointed Musk as head of the Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE, which goals to slash federal authorities spending.

Over the weekend, the Trump administration placed two top security chiefs at USAID on leave, after they refused to turn over classified material in restricted areas to Musk’s government-inspection teams.
A White House official on Monday confirmed that Musk was working for Trump as a “special government employee,” including that he had a authorities e mail handle and workplace space within the White House complicated, The Associated Press reported.
Democrats on Monday denounced Musk’s efforts to shut down USAID, arguing that the company was essential for national security.
