On Thursday, May 14, Trump spoke to the 64-year-old Fox News star about his historic assembly with Chinese President Xi Jinping. During the interview, the longtime face of the conservative news channel appeared visibly annoyed that the 79-year-old Commander-in-Chief wouldn’t straight tackle the conflict in Iran.

When the interview wrapped, Hannity failed to say goodbye to Trump, prompting Trump to awkwardly remark on it. Martin shared the tense second with the Fox News host, which was taken off to the facet behind Trump, on her Instagram Story on Sunday, May 17.

Over her behind-the-scenes clip, Martin, who Trump dubbed the “most beautiful woman in the world,” wrote, “@seanhannity tried to wrap without a formal goodbye… @potus: ‘Well, do you wanna say goodbye or anything?'” She added a couple of laughing face emojis.

“Do you think President Xi and China have the ability to influence the Iranians, considering they are one of their biggest customers?” requested Hannity.

“Yeah, probably, but—um, look, he’s not coming in with guns, they’re not coming in shooting,” Trump said. “I’m not asking—” Hannity interjected. “—Influenced.”

However, Trump switched the subject, reorienting his reply toward the chance of U.S. oil gross sales.

“He’s been very good. They get a lot of their oil—40 percent of their oil—from that location. So what has happened, and one thing that I think we’re going to make a deal on, is they’ve agreed they want to buy oil from the United States,” Trump said.

In another exchange, Trump steered that he was unlikely to get a clear reply out of Xi on Iran’s nuclear program.

“I don’t think China wants Iran to have a nuclear weapon, either,” Trump said. “I said, ‘They’re stone-cold crazy. You don’t need them having a nuclear weapon.'”

“And what did he say?” requested Hannity. “Well, he’s not going to respond too much; he’s a pretty cool guy. He’s not going to say, ‘Oh, that’s a good point,'” Trump said.

“Do you think he agreed?” pressed Hannity. “What was the impression?” Trump replied, “I don’t think he wants them to have—no, he would like to see it end.”

Trump also unveiled his new nickname for Democrats during the interview. “I came up with a new name. I don’t know if I should,” the president said. “Dumocrats,” Trump said with a flourish, explaining that the title was because “they’re dumb.”

“I got rid of the B. So, you’re only changing one letter. E goes, and the U comes,” he told Hannity.

Trump said the nickname got here to him while speaking to Democratic House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, whom he described as a “very low IQ individual.”

“So he’s a dumb guy, he’s a Democrat, and I said, ‘Oh, what a great name for this!'” he said.

Trump also appeared visibly annoyed during a current sit-down with Fox News anchor Bret Baier, as the host repeatedly pressed him on hovering fuel costs.

The phase, which aired Friday, May 15, on Special Report, took an unexpectedly contentious flip when Baier started, “Before this trip. Gas prices in America are still high. Painfully high for…” Trump cut him off, declaring, “They’re going to drop like a rock as it’s over.”

As the exchange grew more and more heated with both talking over each other, Baier said, “Painfully high though now, and–and could be creeping higher before…,” while Trump interjected, “Well, lower than Biden,” prompting Baier to conclude, “It’s done.”

“Excuse me, lower than Biden, and much lower than people thought they’d be,” Trump responded sharply. “This inflation number is going up,” Baier pressed. “You’re right, it’s much lower than President Biden’s was. But it’s going up under you, the numbers are.”

Trump’s tense dialog with Hannity also comes after he claimed MAGA “hate” Fox News in a scathing message about one of the conservative channel’s anchors.

On Sunday, May 10, Trump took to Truth Social to rage about The Sunday Briefing co-anchor Jacqui Heinrich, accusing her of not supplying any “pushback or competent rebuttal” during her current interview with “Dumacrat” Ro Khanna (D-CA).

After bashing Heinrich, Trump said that no matter how “Fair and Balanced” Fox News is, it is always “destroyed by professional Liars, Conmen, and Liberal, Crooked Politicians,” which is why he thinks MAGA supporters hate the channel.

In his message to Heinrich he said, “You could listen to FoxNews all day long, absolutely devour it, but then, when you hear SLEAZEBAGS, like Congressman Ro Khanna, ‘a wolf in sheep’s clothing,’ LIE, LIE, LIE, AND LIE AGAIN, without any pushback, or competent rebuttal from an anchor, in this case, Jacqui Heinrich, the entire Common Sense dialogue that has been going on all day at Fox is completely obliterated!”

He added, “Why would Fox put SCUM like this on, or others, such as Low Rated Bill Maher, who gains ‘credibility’ by constant referral to him as though he were a Liberal source of ‘Wisdom,’ or very Low IQ Hakeem Jeffries, who considers the Supreme Court ‘illegitimate,’ and probably hates our Country.

“No matter how ‘Fair and Balanced’ the day’s News at Fox could also be, the end result’s destroyed by skilled Liars, Conmen, and Liberal, Crooked Politicians. This is why MAGA Republicans, who are literally close to 100% of the Party, hate Fox, despite the fantastic contributions made by so many of their great anchors and commentators. Hard to win Elections like this!”
