Gleb Savchenko has some harsh phrases after studying that upcoming Dancing With the Stars celeb Maura Higgins made it clear she refuses to accomplice up with him for the season.
Savchenko, 42, has been a pro on Dancing with the Stars for a number of years, while Higgins, who is an alum of both Traitors and Love Island UK, was the first star announced to be competing on the upcoming season of the ABC show.
Now, with solid rumors heating up for the show, and Higgins making it clear that she doesn’t need to dance alongside Savchenko, the pro dancer is sharing his ideas about her commentary.
After admitting he didn’t know that Higgins had refused to accomplice with him due to his past with Brooks Nader, he delivered a savage response.
Speaking to People, Savchenko admitted he didn’t even know who she was–and was unhappy to hear that she wasn’t getting his facet of the story.

“Until I was asked to comment on this story, I’d genuinely never heard of Maura, so I was quite surprised to learn she’d spoken about me so negatively,” he said.
“We’ve never met, and she doesn’t know me personally, so it’s disappointing to be judged based on a one-sided version of events rather than the facts.”
His reply comes after Higgins told E! News in May that she wouldn’t need to accomplice with him. “I’d be happy with anyone except Gleb. That’s only because I’m loyal and I’m friends with Brooks,” she said at the time, including, “I don’t really like the way he speaks about women. I don’t really want to spend all my time with someone like that. I’m like, no thank you.”

Savchenko was partnered with Nader, 29, for the show’s thirty third season in 2024. The pair shortly sparked romance rumors before splitting up after their elimination, and then rekindling their relationship forward of the season finale.
They cut up for good in April 2025, and issues shortly turned ugly, with the model accusing him of dishonest on her actuality show, Love Thy Nader, allegations he has denied, and he also made disparaging feedback about her.
His response also comes after he alleged in July that he wasn’t going to be back for the show’s thirty fifth season.
In the feedback part on an Instagram Live with former pro Artem Chigvintsev, Gleb responded to a fan asking if either of them can be back, where he wrote, “I’m not.”

He made comparable remarks forward of the show’s thirty fourth season, which he also claimed was due to Nader and her remarks about him. He later appeared on that season and danced with Hilaria Baldwin.
None of the show’s execs have explicitly confirmed their returns as of yet. They are anticipated to be confirmed along with the remaining solid members on Good Morning America on Wednesday, Sept. 2.
Thus far, the show has confirmed Higgins, Summer House and Traitors alum Ciara Miller, Savannah Bananas participant Jackson Olson, and Jimmy Kimmel sidekick Guillermo Rodriguez.
Dancing with the Stars season 35 premieres with a two-night time event starting on Tuesday, Sept. 15 on ABC and Disney+.
