Former New York City Mayor Eric Adams was targeted in a sequence of bonkers videos impressed by Chinese AI slop — including one with a faux voiceover displaying him declaring, “I am Jesus Christ.”
In one of the weird social media videos, Adams is falsely shown standing in a church, claiming to be the son of God and making racist predictions about the US.
“My name is Eric Leroy Adams, I am Jesus Christ,” he declares in the phony footage. “I’m gonna give you a new Libertarian constitution.”
The oddly disorienting video then reveals AI Adams making a non secular “prophesy.”
“They are going to have all the minorities deported… because there are so many minorities in California,” he says in the video, which was posted last yr. “They are, as well , going to place the police in jail.”
“Ok, and that was a prophesy,” AI Adams says before signing off.
Other faux AI footage of Adams on social media reveals him doing all the pieces from “life hacks” to cooking to extolling the virtues of uncommon stones.

“After the water boils, cook for five minutes then add 300 grams of maltose bought from the shopping mall,” the Adams voiceover says as he inexplicably boils grapes in the clip posted on Instagram just a week in the past.
Prognoz Pogodi, 39, of Cincinnati, Ohio, said he makes the videos of the “Adam’s clone narrating” by translating AI-generated videos from the Chinese social media websites RedNote and Xiaohongshu.
The videos use AI-generated voiceovers to function the ex-mayor “reading” the scripts with his signature inflection and vocal tics, he told Hell Gate in October.
“I’ll have the voice clone do a few takes and pick the best one,” Pogodi said.
“Then [I] just clip him from a video and remove the background and add him to the original Xiaohongshu video muted. Then, I use the ElevenLabs sound effect generator to make background music, add captions and it’s ready to post.”
“He works so well because he has so many existing real videos where he says unusual and funny things…In my head, it’s the same guy. I feel like it’s stuff I could hear him say in real life,” Pogodi told the outlet.
Pogodi didn’t return a request for remark from The Post.
