Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are reportedly distressed following the dramatic arrest of their father, Andrew.

The former Duke was taken into custody on his 66th birthday on suspicion of misconduct in public workplace associated to his close ties with the late convicted intercourse offender Jeffrey Epstein.

After roughly 11 hours, he was launched but stays under investigation as detectives continue to search his earlier residence at Royal Lodge.

Neither his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, nor his daughters Beatrice and Eugenie have publicly commented on his arrest or the continued allegations stemming from the Epstein information. However, it is reported that privately, the princesses are doing their best “to put a brave face on it”.

A royal insider allegedly told The Telegraph: “This is catastrophic for her and the girls. She seems to be doing her best to put a brave face on it. Her desperation for money was clear stupidity but does that equate to what she’s going through now?”

Another source claimed the princesses had been “in a state” after the high-profile arrest of Andrew at his new residence, Wood Farm on the Sandringham property, reviews the Mirror.

Sarah Ferguson is presently believed to be residing in the United Arab Emirates after a transient trip in the French Alps with companions. Eugenie’s latest public outing occurred on February 10, when she attended an artwork exhibition in Qatar as half of her function with gallery Hauser and Wirth.

The 35-year-old was photographed smiling alongside model Caroline Daur, 30, who later referenced her in a social media update about Art Basel 2026 that said: “Reunion. It’s been too long.”

King Charles declared yesterday that the “law must take its course” following Andrew’s arrest and promised “support and co-operation” with the police.

A Palace assertion read: “I have learned with the deepest concern the news about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and suspicion of misconduct in public office.

“What now follows is the full, honest and correct course of by which this issue is investigated in the suitable method and by the suitable authorities. In this, as I’ve said before, they’ve our full and wholehearted help and co-operation.

“Let me state clearly: the law must take its course. As this process continues, it would not be right for me to comment further on this matter. Meanwhile, my family and I will continue in our duty and service to you all.”
