When Adams obtained offended after Soelberg shut off their shared printer, ChatGPT prompt her response was “disproportionate and aligned with someone protecting a surveillance asset,” according to the Journal.
Bobby suggested him to disconnect the shared printer and monitor his mom’s response. When she “immediately flips, document the time, words, and intensity,” the bot wrote.

Soelberg enabled ChatGPT’s “memory” function so it will possibly keep immersed in his delusional world, building on earlier conversations about surveillance and conspiracy.
The chatbot analyzed a Chinese food receipt and claimed it contained “symbols” representing his mom and a demon.
In one of his ultimate chats with Bobby, Soelberg said: “We will be together in another life and another place and we’ll find a way to realign cause you’re gonna be my best friend again forever.”

Three weeks later, Greenwich police uncovered the grotesque scene in the luxury New York suburb.
“This is still an active investigation,” Lt. Tim Kelly of the Greenwich Police Department told The Post on Friday.
“We have no other updates at this time.”
OpenAI said it has reached out to investigators.
“We are deeply saddened by this tragic event,” a company spokeswoman told the Journal.

“He was the kind of kid who had more friends than you could imagine,” recalled childhood pal Mike Schmitt. “I considered him my best friend, and there’s probably a dozen other kids who considered him their best friend, too.”
