After delivering movies like The Tashkent Files (2019), The Kashmir Files (2022) and The Vaccine War (2023), director Vivek Agnihotri is back with another arduous hitting movie, The Bengal Files. The makers of the movie secured the censor certificates in advance and Bollywood Hungama, in this article, would completely focus on the same.
To start with, the movie wasn’t handed by the Examining Committee of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The Bengal Files was referred to the Reviving Committee (RC) presumably due to its content. The RC handed the movie but requested for some adjustments.
The RC requested the makers to take away ‘contemptuous’ phrases against the transgender neighborhood and change them with applicable phrases. Similarly, the images of outstanding personalities had been eliminated and changed. As per the directive of the RC, the makers submitted supporting paperwork for the historic occasions depicted in the movie. The makers also offered consent letters from the dad and mom of the kid artists concerned in the movie. Lastly, the disclaimer was depicted with a bigger font and also a voiceover.
Once these adjustments had been made, the CBFC handed the movie with an ‘A’ certificates. The length of the movie, as talked about on the censor certificates, is 204.half-hour. In other phrases, The Bengal Files is 3 hours 24 minutes and 30 seconds.

The dialogue ‘Bharat ko ek din iska bahut bada harzana dena padega’ was lowered. The title Gopal Mukhopadhyay was eliminated at a number of locations.
Further, a scene of vulture and child was deleted while in another scene, an owl scene was added. The makers also modified textual content in a number of scenes.
The makers made two additions – the length of the scene of the newspaper was elevated by a second. In another scene, textual content and newspaper scene was added in place of another scene, and it is runtime is 68 seconds.
In this method, the makers deleted 1 minute 42 seconds while they added 1 minute 44 seconds. As a consequence, the revised size of The Bengal Files is 204.32 minutes, or 3 hours, 24 minutes and 32 seconds.
The Bengal Files is the longest Bollywood movie in a long time. It is one minute longer than Animal (2023) and 4 minutes longer than the theatrical model of Pushpa 2 (2024). It stars Mithun Chakraborty, Darshan Kumaar, Pallavi Joshi, Saswata Chatterjee and others. It is all set to release on September 5.
