Fed-Up CA Homeowner Shoots Intruder; His | Political News

Crime, notably robberies/home invasions, in Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley is out of control proper now, despite voters giving Soros DA George Gascon the heave-ho and passing a poll initiative to roll back many soft-on-crime Prop 47 provisions. In the last few months, at least 4 people have been killed in their houses by intruders – and that’s just the quantity I can suppose of off the top of my head. Residents are livid and so loud about their displeasure that even Mayor Karen Bass is beginning to acknowledge their issues. (Whether something will really occur, though, is another matter.

And now, fairly a few residents are including firearms to their home safety plan and at least one may be very glad that he did. On Monday evening, local news station KTLA studies, a Studio City man who encountered an intruder in his home “opened fire on the suspect” and “says he has no regrets.” While the reporter appeared to be a little stunned, we aren’t, particularly since, as she says, “Another day, another burglary in the San Fernando Valley.”

I took a look at the video, as the reporter advised, and was blown away by a few elements of it – and not the elements she may suppose would blow people away. First, Ms. Sarkissian said that the home-owner did not need to be on video, then proceeds to have her cameraman get the person’s face on video as he spoke to a neighbor from his car.

Second — effectively, second, third, fourth, and fifth might just be wrapped up into one large “What the flip” second relating to Sarkissian’s interview with the neighbor, Kelli Morgan.

As the section begins, Morgan’s leaning her head into the home-owner’s car window and asking him, “Did you actually shoot [the intruder], or did you just shoot at him?” What? Who cares? Why would somebody ask that instead of, I dunno, expressing disappointment that their neighbor had to go through that terror?

Then Morgan, who had no qualms about taking her quarter-hour of fame, says to Sarkissian, “This is the second time they’ve been robbed, so I guess you get more frustrated.” Gee, ya suppose?

Morgan says she’s lived there “twenty-five years, and there’s never been anything until the last couple of years.” Why is that? She was legitimately dumbfounded as to why that is perhaps, but hazarded a guess:

“As the walls keep getting higher in the neighborhood, I think then there’s more interest in coming into the neighborhood from other areas. That’s all I can think of.”

Oh, sure, that must be it. Can’t even comprehend that it may need to do with the politicians she’s elected and the silly insurance policies they’ve enacted.

But never worry, Morgan is there to broadcast all of her neighbors’ security protocols to the world:

“I do know nearly all people on this road is — at minimal, has a Ring, if not. more. What else are you gonna do? You know, I’m not gonna carry a gun.

Instead of asking her what she’s going to do if an armed intruder comes into her home, Sarkissian permits Morgan to absolve her neighbor, the one who was confronted with that horrible state of affairs of having to shoot another human being to defend his home and household, of judgment. And in doing so, Morgan says the neighbor’s first identify, and KTLA just left it in. Disgusting.

“Well, [neighbor’s name redacted] entitled to his opinion. I don’t agree with it.”

There you go, of us. We knew there have been people that callous and silly around us, but it is still gorgeous to see it up close and personal.
