Female GOP Lawmaker Shows the Way As Maryland Dems | Political News
Nobody likes to speak about female hygiene merchandise, including girls, consider it or not.
But one Republican feminine lawmaker is rightly placing the uncomfortable dialog on the market in a means that ought to make her woke Democrat colleagues in the Maryland House of Delegates really feel embarrassed, if not ashamed, after the introduction of a invoice in February that would mandate placing tampons – yes, tampons – and other such merchandise in males’s restrooms in public buildings.
Maryland Democrats try to go a invoice that would FORCE all public buildings to present tampons in MEN’s loos.

The abstract of Maryland House Bill 941, titled “Public Health – Public Buildings – Hygiene Products,” states that it could require “public restrooms in public buildings to provide an adequate supply of hygiene products.”Â
Among other issues, the invoice notes that “‘menstrual hygiene products’ means appropriately sized tampons, sanitary napkins, and sanitary pads for use in connection with the menstrual cycle.” The invoice has one main sponsor and 16 co-sponsors, all Democrats, of course, but says nothing about why precisely these merchandise are “needed” in males’s restrooms, since males do not have menstrual cycles.

Though the invoice first debuted on February fifth, apparently a debate on it was not too long ago held on the House ground. And the means Republican Delegate Kathy Szeliga (District 7A) introduced her argument against the invoice was about the best means one can in a chamber that is dominated by Democrats.
Here’s how she reacted to the “appropriately sized” half of the invoice during a back-and-forth with a male Democrat delegate, Ken Kerr (District 3), who helps the laws:
During her remarks, the GOP Maryland lawmaker also questioned language in the invoice ordering “appropriately sized tampons” be positioned in all public restrooms in all public buildings.
“What are appropriately sized tampons?” Szeliga requested, incomes laughter from components of the House. “I’ve never heard of such a thing. What do you consider appropriate?”
[…]
In response, Del. Ken Kerr, D-Fredrick County, said that the language “just means that tampons are offered, there’s no specific size.” Szeliga shot back, arguing that if that is the case, it ought to say so, and not speak about sizing.
Meanwhile, Szeliga then pivoted to inquire with Democrats about which public buildings could be impacted, with emphasis on the soccer stadium where the NFL franchise Baltimore Ravens play and the baseball stadium, Camden Yards, where the Baltimore Orioles play. According to Szeliga, both are owned by the Maryland Stadium Authority.
Watch how uncomfortable Kerr seems to be debating the issue with Szeliga as she cleverly highlights the absurdity of the invoice:

The Maryland Republican Freedom Caucus has given the invoice what it feels is a becoming nickname, presumably in honor of Minnesota Gov. “Tampon Tim” Walz (D):
Tampons for Timmy — Maryland is bankrupt. Electricity costs are unsustainable & people can’t wait to transfer. But, that didn’t stop @mddems from forcing you to pay for tampons in males’s restrooms. Join @chisholmstrong & me for the Dumbest Bill in America! pic.twitter.com/ykBnmDyGl1

This is, of course, not the first time we have seen Democrats in state legislatures across the nation strive to (and in some circumstances, succeed) push laws like this. But at a time when it has turn into abundantly clear that this is an 80-20 issue (with Dems on the fallacious aspect) – and also at a time when Maryland’s fiscal home is not in order – it boggles the thoughts that this would come up at all, a lot less be a precedence.

Given Maryland’s price range points, Szeliga and other Republican lawmakers highlighting the invoice’s fiscal madness is wise. Meanwhile, AWFLs (for occasion) in the Old Line State are going on document in assist of it from a woke perspective because of course.
But Szeliga forcing male Democrat colleagues to debate the “tampon size” half of the laws is also important, because it helps shine an unflattering highlight nationally on Democrats in common and just how far they will continue to go in the identify of “tolerance” and “diversity” – at the expense of girls’s security.
