Former Fox TV anchor arrested for brutal stabbing | TV Shows
Angelynn Mock, once a acquainted face on St. Louis’s Fox 2, is now behind bars after being accused of stabbing her 80-year-old mom to death.
The 47-year-old former TV anchor was arrested Friday morning in Wichita, Kansas, after police say they discovered her mom, Anita Avers, coated in stab wounds.
It was just after 8 a.m. when officers arrived to discover Mock exterior the home, reportedly drenched in blood.
Avers was rushed to the hospital but didn’t survive.
Mock, who also obtained hospital treatment for undisclosed causes, was later booked for first-degree homicide. She stays in Sedgwick County Jail with a $1 million bond.
Mock spent 4 years at Fox 2 from 2011 to 2015.
Her LinkedIn still lists her journalism background. Her Neighbor, Alyssa Castro, told KAKE that she and her boyfriend had been sitting in their car when a lady, later recognized as Mock, approached them.
“There was a woman who approached our vehicle with like blood, like her hands were filled, her body was filled with blood, asking to call 911,” Castro said.
Castro said Mock used her boyfriend’s cellphone and then bolted back into the home.
“She seemed scared,” Castro recalled. “I asked her if she was okay, and she was pretty shaken up, and she seemed scared, and she just ran off,” she said.

Avers was a marriage and household therapist at Wichita Counseling Professionals, according to her husband.
On social media, the mom and daughter confirmed indicators of a seemingly regular relationship.
Avers’ Facebook profile photograph options Mock reporting live at a baseball sport.
Other photos show them hugging and smiling.
Mock is being held in Sedgwick County Jail on a $1 million bond.
