Fox fans slam Stephen Miller as he defends | TV Shows

Fox News viewers have turned against MAGA’s Stephen Miller after he tried to defend the plan to doubtlessly invade Greenland. 

Speaking on “Hannity,” Miller said, “Greenland is essential to America’s national security. The new domain of international competition is going to be polar competition. That is where more and more resources are being spent by our nation’s adversaries and rivals. The ability to control movement, navigation back lanes of travel in the polar and arctic regions.”

Continuing, he added, “With respect to Denmark, Denmark is a tiny country with a tiny economy and a tiny military. They cannot defend Greenland. They cannot control the territory of Greenland.”

This is when Miller claimed that under worldwide law, a nation must have the opportunity to defend its territory, one thing students and consultants have said is factually incorrect. 

“Under every understanding of law that has existed about territorial control for 500 years, to control a territory you have to be able to defend a territory, improve territory, inhabit a territory,” the 40-year-old alleged. “Denmark has failed on every single one of these tests.

Miller’s claim has been shut down by experts as it’s a contradiction of territorial integrity, which protects a sovereign state’s borders regardless of its military strength. Additionally, the UN Charter (Article 2(4)) prohibits the threat or use of force against the territorial integrity of any state. And this idea is not new, as it was also famously expressed in the 1648 Treaty of Westphalia, which ended the Thirty Years’ War nearly 400 years ago. 

Fox News viewers reacted to Miller’s remarks on social media, as one person took to X to write, “On and on and on. Day after day. This nonsense just continues. I doubt voters are amused.”

“Stephen Miller says, ‘[Denmark] cannot defend Greenland.’ Denmark, just like the US and 30 other nations, is a member of NATO,” a second user penned. “Under Art. 5, the 31 other members are obligated to defend Denmark if it’s attacked. If, however, the US assaults Greenland, the 30 other members are obligated to defend Denmark…Miller is a moron.”

A third person then chimed in to say, “This is deplorable,” while a fourth X user added, “Miller either has no understanding of law, or he does, and he just does not care.”
