Fox News was compelled to halt its live broadcast of Fox and Friends on December 1, as the hosts cut to a harrowing update over the capturing of two National Guard members in Washington, D.C., on November 27.

The capturing occurred in the afternoon on Nov. 27 and left Beckstrom and Wolfe both significantly injured. It was rapidly reported that the capturing suspect had also been shot and was in the hospital.

On Thanksgiving Day, it was confirmed that Beckstrom had died from her accidents.
