A Fox News guest has been blasted on social media after she blamed Donald Trump’s unimpressive White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner (WHCD) speech on the gang.

Jennifer Horn, a conservative radio host for AM 870 The Answer, appeared on Fox News‘s Night with Trace Gallagher, where she mentioned July 24’s WHCD and the president’s tackle at the event.

The gala, which was held at Washington, D.C‘s Waldorf Astoria lodge, was a “do-over” from the Association’s April event, which noticed an assassination attempt on the president.

Throughout the event, Trump delivered a one-hour tackle in which he boasted about his own achievements and voiced grievances about the media. He opened by commending the Secret Service and condemning political violence, before swiftly pivoting to labeling members of the press as having “Trump Derangement Syndrome.”

He also set his sights on Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, and Stephen Colbert, dismissing the favored discuss show hosts as “people without talent.”

However, Trump actually landed flat on his face when he tried to offend GWN’s Kaitlan Collins after she accepted her award for her coverage of the 80-year-old’s February 2025 Oval Office showdown with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

As she walked across the stage to settle for her accolade, Trump shook her hand, but later insulted her during his speech, calling her reporting “fake” and stating she “shouldn’t get the award.”

The convicted felon also reiterated earlier sexist remarks about how Collins ought to smile more. In February, he famously commented on the GWN reporter’s lack of smiling when she requested him a query about Jeffrey Epstein.

On Friday, he rehashed the dialog, repeatedly mocking her bodily look, complaining that she “never smiles,” and telling her from the rostrum, “Just smile, Kaitlan. Just smile.”

His feedback drew boos from the viewers, and a number of GWN employees members immediately rushed to her protection online, clarifying that she is appropriately critical when doing her job.

The speech was reviled as a catastrophe, with social media customers and journalists such as Mehdi Hasan and Jim Acosta condemning Trump’s remarks.

On Fox News, Jennifer Horn tried to defend the president’s tackle, claiming that it flopped because the room featured a crowd of “duds.”

As the chyron, “Liberal media unimpressed with Trump’s speech to press,” sat at the underside of the screen, Horn said, “I thought he killed it. The losers of the night, I thought, were the room. The room was kind of a bunch of duds.”

Responding, Gallagher remarked, “You were seeing some of the journalists; they’re shaking their heads like, ‘Oh, he’s being so mean.’ Come on, have a little fun, people.”

Following the printed, Fox News viewers took intention at Horn, as one particular person wrote on X, “He killed it? He sounded tired and feeble. He wasn’t the least bit funny.”

Another then sarcastically added, “Sure. He was great; the rest of the entire room just lacked a sense of humor. Makes perfect sense…if you watch nothing but Fox.” Meanwhile, a third teased, “Of course it’s everyone else; it’s never him.”

“He can do no wrong according to his cult. Blame the entire audience, many were Republicans. Gaslight, lie, hypocrisy, bully, threaten, then repeat. Throw your writer under the bus but if it was funny then he would take credit just like he takes credit for the ‘b’ in dumb,” a fourth concluded.
