President Donald Trump announced a 10-Day ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel.

On April 16, Fox News halted its common programming as President Trump, 79, proclaimed, “PEACE” in his Truth Social post. In his latest post, Trump announced a 10-Day ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel. Lebanon, which had been struck by airstrikes from Israel, shares historic ties and diplomatic relations with Iran.

Chief international correspondent Trey Yingst read off the post and explained to viewers what the ceasefire deal entails. It comes after Fox News cut away from Melania Trump at an awkward second in a brutal snub.

Harris Faulkner began, “A 10-day ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon. Remember, they kept fighting after the Iran and the United States ceasefire was in place. And it all begins at 5 pm Eastern today. And Trey, my big question today, you’re there in Tel Aviv, does this mean that it really stops? Does Lebanon actually control the terrorist army of Iran inside its own country?”

Yingst replied, “Good question. President Trump, just minutes ago, announcing a 10-day ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon in effect at 5 pm Eastern Time. I don’t have many details on this agreement. We know the president himself was on the phone with Lebanese and Israeli leadership earlier today to get this agreement in place.

“That major query is whether or not or not Hezbollah could be managed by the Lebanese authorities? Throughout the day, Harris, sirens have been sounding off in Northern Israel. This Iran-backed proxy in Southern Lebanon has launched drones and rockets over the border, triggering sirens in very large cities. What the president is making an attempt to do right here is create a sense of stability and peace between Israel and its neighbor to the north.

He continued, “As it relates to the ceasefire, though, this is a separate issue. And the question is, whether or not Hezbollah is involved in this ceasefire? And if the Lebanese government, as a result of this agreement that was brokered by President Trump, will stop their fire in Northern Israel.”

However, viewers have been thrilled about the announcement, believing the ceasefire wouldn’t last long.

One individual said, “Trump doesn’t want peace. He wants the spotlight. He announces a ceasefire like someone announcing a new reality show.”

Another individual added, “Another fake ceasefire that won’t last the day.”

A 3rd wrote, “A 10-day pause is better than active fighting, but let’s not call it ‘solving’ the 10th war.”

Despite the criticism, Trump did have a supporter who shared, “This ceasefire is a welcome step that can ease tensions and create space for dialogue.”

In the first half of his post, Trump wrote, “I just had excellent conversations with the Highly Respected President Joseph Aoun, of Lebanon, and Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu, of Israel. These two Leaders have agreed that in order to achieve PEACE between their Countries, they will formally begin a 10 Day CEASEFIRE at 5 P.M. EST.

“On Tuesday, the 2 Countries met for the first time in 34 years right here in Washington, D.C., with our Great Secretary of State, Marco Rubio. I’ve directed Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Rubio, together with the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Dan Razin’ Caine, to work with Israel and Lebanon to obtain a Lasting PEACE. It has been my Honor to resolve 9 Wars across the World, and this will likely be my tenth, so let’s GET IT DONE!”

He continued in the next half, “In addition to the assertion just issued, I will likely be inviting the Prime Minister of Israel, Bibi Netanyahu, and the President of Lebanon, Joseph Aoun, to the White House for the first significant talks between Israel and Lebanon since 1983, a very long time in the past. Both sides need to see PEACE, and I imagine that will occur, rapidly!”
