Fox News presenter Greg Gutfeld slammed Jimmy Kimmel after the late-night comic lashed out at viewers who inform him how to do his job.
Speaking on Michelle Obama’s podcast, Kimmel responded to Jimmy Kimmel Live! watchers who criticize the show’s focus on Donald Trump and politics. Kimmel said, “First of all, don’t tell me what my job is. I don’t tell you what your job is. My job is whatever I decide my job is, whatever my employer allows me to do. That’s what my job is.”
Gutfield responded on Friday’s episode of The Five advising Kimmel to “take it like a man,” saying that because Kimmel is “paid handsomely” he ought to “stop blubbering.” He went on to counsel during the April 17 episode Kimmel ought to give being right-wing a go and accused him of making up tales about Charlie Kirk’s death.
“Look, he is right,” Gutfeld said. “He doesn’t have to listen to criticism, but then don’t complain about it. You can do what you want and we can tell you what sucks. You get paid handsomely so take it like a man and stop blubbering.”
“People get criticized every day who make 1/100th of what you make in menial jobs and they don’t complain about the complaints,” he said. “You don’t even know criticism. Try being a right winger for a year.”

“I only complain when one of my friends gets shot and killed and you make up stories about it,” Gultfeld added, referencing the death of Charlie Kirk last September. Kimmel was briefly taken off air last year after the FCC scrutinized a joke he made about the Trump administration’s response to Kirk’s death.
He went on, “My feeling is, he’s hopeless because he’s decided he’s too important to be funny. He’s incapable of self-deprecation, he can’t poke fun at himself and he lost the ability to be silly.
“I am a fool. I’m the first to admit it. I embrace it. The less important you think I am the better it is for me. No one mocks me more than me and most of the insults directed at me from critics they took from me. So there.”
Kimmel told Obama and her brother he believes it “shameful” if he didn’t speak about politics. “My job is to talk about what is going on in people’s lives and these are things that I take very seriously,” he said.
Jimmy Kimmel Live! was suspended in late-September last year after Kimmel said the “Maga gang” aimed to score political points from the shooting of Charlie Kirk. The show was reinstated on September 22, sparking outrage from Donald Trump, who said he believed the show had been canceled.
“I can’t believe ABC Fake News gave Jimmy Kimmel his job back,” the president said. “The White House was told by ABC that his Show was cancelled! Something happened between then and now because his audience is GONE, and his “talent” was never there.
“Why would they need somebody back who does so poorly, who’s not humorous, and who places the Network in jeopardy by enjoying 99% constructive Democrat GARBAGE. He is yet another arm of the DNC and, to the best of my information, that could be a major illegal Campaign Contribution.”
