President Donald Trump announced a new peace deal with Iran, a transfer that upset a conservative host.
On May 23, President Trump, 78, announced on Truth Social that negotiations with the Middle Eastern nation had been profitable. Trump disclosed little or no about the new peace deal with Iran, which is predicted to be finalized soon. Following the announcement, the Big Weekend Show reported that the Strait of Hormuz, the first export route for oil, may reopen after the Iranian blockade.
However, host Tomi Lahren, 33, expressed her doubts on-air about Trump’s new peace deal with Iran. This comes after Trump’s advisor uncovered the behind-the-scenes pressure between the president and Fox News commentator Sean Hannity, 64.
Contributor Tom Shillue, 59, shared with his co-host, “In order to get that Strait open, to get the insurance companies confident to work with these ships, to calm the nerves and get oil prices down, you need the deal.
“That’s what we had been wanting for, and hopefully that’s what we obtained.”

However, Lahren did not just want the Strait to be reopened. She also did not want Iran to have a nuclear weapon. She believed this potential deal needed both to make Trump feel victorious.
Lahren said, “But to that level, if that’s all we get, with Strait open, we’d be back to where we began before we began the battle. You have to get the enriched uranium. You have to get a deal that removes that side of the nuclear ambitions. Otherwise, I don’t know if you’ll be able to stroll out of this and say this is a win.
“It feels like we’re back to square one,” she said.
Shillue agreed and said, “Yeah,” in response.
“The president was very strict on that point. They cannot have a nuclear weapon,” she continued. “So I think any deal has to include that. I don’t think it’s going to be enough with the Strait.”
Ahead of the printed, Trump took to Truth Social and wrote, “An Agreement has been largely negotiated, subject to finalization between the United States of America, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the various other Countries, as listed. Separately, I had a call with Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu of Israel, which, likewise, went very well. Final aspects and details of the Deal are currently being discussed and will be announced shortly. In addition to many other elements of the Agreement, the Strait of Hormuz will be opened.”

This is just not the only time Trump and the community have disagreed. On May 16, Trump, 79, clashed with Fox News host Bret Baier, 55, in a tense interview about rising gasoline costs. Trump appeared visibly pissed off as Baier repeatedly pressed him on hovering costs.
“Gas prices in America are still high. Painfully high for…” Baier began before Trump cut him off and barged in, “They’re going to drop like a rock as it’s over.”
Baier composed himself and completed his sentence, “Painfully high though now, and–and could be creeping higher before it’s done,” when Trump interrupted again and interjected, “Well, lower than Biden. Excuse me, lower than Biden, and much lower than people thought they’d be.”
