She added, “We just literally got this information a few seconds ago.”
Kilmeade explained that Cheney was Chief of Staff under former President Gerald Ford, former Secretary of Defense under former President George H. W. Bush, and went on to be Vice President for two phrases with former President George W. Bush.
The co-host added that Cheney was thought of the “conservative’s conservative,” and a “very hard-liner, someone extremely competent, and someone who dealt with heart issues in his 30s and has dealt with that his entire life.”
Cheney died Monday evening due to issues of pneumonia and cardiac and vascular disease, his household said in a assertion.
“For decades, Dick Cheney served our nation, including as White House Chief of Staff, Wyoming’s Congressman, Secretary of Defense, and Vice President of the United States,” the assertion said.
“Dick Cheney was a great and good man who taught his children and grandchildren to love our country, and to live lives of courage, honor, love, kindness, and fly fishing. We are grateful beyond measure for all Dick Cheney did for our country.

In the comments section of Fox News’ post about the breaking news alert on X, formerly Twitter, many commented that Cheney’s death was the “end of an period.”
