Fox News Jessica tells Five co-host not to be | TV Shows
Fox News’ Jessica Tarlov scolded one of her co-hosts during a heated exchange.
During the Wednesday, July 1, episode of Fox News‘ The Five, the only Democrat panelist, 42, weighed in on sure Democrats welcoming members of the socialist political group, Democratic Socialists of America. The co-hosts had been discussing a report from Axios that claimed former Vice President Kamala Harris had called New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and met with other outstanding progressives.
Tarlov warned her occasion’s leaders not to “court” the DSA utterly, because “you can end up with egg on your face,” as Scott Wiener did. This prompted Kennedy to say one thing “gross,” and Tarlov clapped back at her.
Kennedy uttered, “Is there egg on his face or something else?” Tarlov stopped mid-sentence to give her co-host a disgusted look before telling her, “Don’t be gross.”
The second got here after Jesse Watters dubbed the DSA members sweeping through the Democratic Party not too long ago “stupid people,” and Kennedy claimed Harris was attempting to “appeal to the cool kids.”
Emily Compagno steered the dialog to Tarlov, saying, “Jessica, I haven’t seen a wait-and-see approach from the Party. I see the same talking points being parroted throughout the Party, throughout mainstream media, of ‘This is a big tent, and we’re all inclusive.'”
She continued, “And frankly, I think the whole point is anything goes. Any tattoo will be acceptable as long as you say first that you’re going to vote Democrat.”
Tarlov said, “So I think with the exception of Darializa, generally speaking, the big tent has applied. People have spoken out about that, said things like, ‘We believe in prison for murderers,’ or that ‘You should deport someone who came here and violated American criminal law.’ But, in general, yes, that attitude has been the tent is expanding, and I think that’s due to the fact that the race is that these DSA candidates are winning are in deep blue districts.”
She continued, “So, you have a district that’s like D+50. You’re essentially turning it from blue to cobalt blue, right? So, once they start picking off moderates, once they start winning in swing districts, which is what happened during the tea party, then I think you’re going to have a very different attitude about this.”
Tarlov added, “There are a few Democrats who are part of a new coalition… speaking out about this overtly, but I think everyone else is taking a wait-and-see to see how this actually affects them electorally because everyone is thinking about 218, that’s the number we have to get to.”
Tarlov added, “I would caution people like Kamala or Gavin Newsom in courting the DSA completely, though, because you can end up with egg on your face. You could end up like Scott Wiener, right? An incredibly progressive guy-.”
That’s what Kennedy interjected, “Is there egg on his face or something else?” Tarlov scolded, “Don’t be gross,” to which Kennedy replied, “Just wondering what he ate for breakfast.”
Tarlov continued to say of Wiener, “Someone who has an incredible record on LGBTQ+ issues,” but Kennedy interrupted again to say, “Unless you hate Israel, it does not matter, and there is no cobalt blue in the Palestinian flag.”
As Kennedy said this, Tarlov acquired upset and replied, “But that’s my point. Why won’t you let me say it?”
After Kennedy uttered her assertion, Tarlov said, “But that’s what I’m saying, that the guy changed his position, started calling it a genocide in January, and they still came after him with what appears to be blatant Antisemitism.”
Axios reported that Harris privately contacted New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani last week. She has also been having closed-door conferences with other outstanding progressives, including pro-Palestinian activists, as she seems to need to solidify her front-runner standing in the 2028 major.
This comes after Democratic socialist and other left-wing candidates defeated incumbents in last week’s New York primaries.
Claire Valdez and Darializa Avila Chevalier gained in the seventh and thirteenth Congressional Districts for the U.S. House. Meanwhile, Aber Kawas gained the New York State Senate District 12 seat, and Brad Lander, a former DSA member, gained his Democratic major for the tenth Congressional District, defeating U.S. Rep. Dan Goldman.
Fellow Democrats have already begun to criticize some of their deliberate insurance policies.
Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pennsylvania, posted on X, “Anti-Israel. Anti-America. Anti-Western Civilization. Why am I the only Democrat in the U.S. Senate that refuses to excuse this or defend any of those self-identified communists?”
New York Attorney General Letitia James blamed Mamdani. “Some of the candidates that he has supported are individuals who do not understand the politics of New York City, the cultural differences from district to district, who have not been part of the history and the struggle of some of these districts, and are relatively new to the body politic,” James told GWN.
