Sean Hannity confronted widespread criticism Tuesday after failing to question Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick’s assertions about a Supreme Court tariff case during a Fox News interview.

The backlash erupted following Lutnick’s look on Hannity‘s program, where the Commerce Secretary expressed confidence about the result of a major tariff case before the Supreme Court.

Lutnick labeled the listening to as “the Super Bowl of commerce.”

“The only thing missing was walk-on and walk-off music and a halftime show,” Lutnick said during the printed.

The Commerce Secretary cited pushback by Justice Brett Kavanaugh as evidence that the court would rule in the administration’s favor.
