Fox News viewers slam Jesse Watters as he lies | TV Shows

Jesse Watters has been called a “complete moron” by Fox News viewers after a comment he made about the Alex Pretti capturing.

During Monday, January 26’s version of The Five, Watters and his fellow panellists mentioned the unrest following Alex Pretti’s death on January 24.

Pretti, 37, was killed by Border Patrol brokers after he tried to help a lady who had been pushed over. While going to her support, a scuffle ensued, with Pretti being restrained and pinned to the ground. This is when he was shot at least 5 occasions by the unnamed officers. He was pronounced useless at the scene.

Speaking about the incident, Jesse Watters, 47, erroneously claimed that Pretti “violently” obstructed federal brokers before he was shot and killed.

“The guy who brings a loaded firearm, concealed, into a dangerous fugitive operation is crazy. You do not bring a loaded gun and start violently and physically resisting and obstructing a manhunt, okay?” Watters said to his fellow panellists. 

Videos of the incident show Pretti holding his cellphone, recording the officers. He was also carrying a firearm in his waistband at the time, but this was eliminated by brokers before he was restrained and then killed. It has been reported that Pretti didn’t brandish the weapon and was unarmed at the time of his death. 

“Anybody who knows — you have a concealed permit, and some guy is confronting you, is federal enforcement, you say, ‘Here are my hands. I have a loaded weapon on me,’ and you wait for further instruction. You do not actively, physically resist,” Watters said to viewers.

“Now, you watch the video, and it’s very, very chaotic. It may have looked like they might have disarmed this guy during the scuffle,” the host continued, before including, “You have whistles blowing. You can’t hear anything.”

Watters then remarked that Pretti “pulls his arm back,” with the news anchor claiming, “You don’t know if he’s reaching, so obviously they will be doing a big investigation. They will find out what happened, and we’ll look at the body cam. But it’s not a clear-cut situation, and it’s very divisive.”

However, Fox News viewers aren’t impressed with Watters’s remarks, as one wrote on X, “To be clear, nothing he said is true. He’s just making things up.”

“Watters sounds like a complete moron when he toes the party narrative like this,” added a second X person, while a third chimed in to say, “What a slimy excuse of a (human?).”

“What an unbelievably hypocritical piece of s–t. Every word out of his mouth was a lie,” remarked a fourth vexed Fox News viewer.
