Fox News viewers expressed their displeasure after the community highlighted falling gas costs following the president’s settlement with Iran, with many turning their criticism toward both the community and the president.
Donald Trump, 80, has been championing his settlement with Iran since it was reached, with Fox News largely backing the deal, which is meant to convey an end to the battle that broke out in August when the U.S. and Israel collectively launched an offensive against the Middle Eastern nation.
While sure Fox News hosts have voiced reservations about the deal, others have praised it and celebrated stories that the average price of gasoline declined shortly after the settlement was announced. The community took to social media to mark the drop in average fuel costs.
“For the first time in months, the national average gas price has fallen below $4 per gallon after topping $4.51 just a month ago, according to AAA,” they wrote on X. “Drivers in states like Georgia, Virginia, Kentucky, Missouri and Minnesota are seeing even lower prices.”

“At the same time, oil is heading lower as additional supply hits the market. While the trend is welcome news for consumers, prices remain significantly higher than they were this time last year,” the post continued. “The price changes come as President Trump says Americans should expect to see gas and oil get even cheaper thanks to the administration’s new deal with Iran.”
However, quite a few followers swiftly responded to the post with vital feedback, with many arguing they need to maintain off on celebrating since Trump triggered the price surge in the first place, stories the Irish Star.
“Gas was under $3.00 in Florida as we entered this battle. Hold off on the victory lap,” one individual posted on X (previously Twitter), while another commented, “I’d pump the brakes on the ‘victory lap’…You’re essentially congratulating the administration for partially extinguishing a fire it helped start.”

Others criticized Fox for celebrating the development.
“Hey Fox! What caused gas and oil prices to spike over the last few months and who was responsible for that?” one individual questioned, while another said, “Come and talk to me when gas is below 2 dollars. Before that stop trying to suck up to him.”
Additional viewers condemned the reward as “hero syndrome” and likened it to praising an arsonist who returns to the fire they ignited.
“Are we supposed to be celebrating this? Trump caused prices to go up and now we are supposed to praise him for ‘fixing’ a problem he himself created? That’s Hero syndrome at it’s finest,” one individual remarked.
“Trump is the arsonist who joins the celebration when the fire is out,” a second posted.
“Praising the arsonist for helping put out the fire sure is something…” a third famous.
