Francisco Alvarez exits rehab game in Mets injury…
Francisco Alvarez’s luck continues to be dangerous.
The Mets catcher left his rehab game on Wednesday night time for Triple-A Syracuse in the sixth inning after being struck in his left pinky finger by a pitch against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Railriders.
Alvarez, who is attempting to come back from a sprained UCL in his proper thumb, was hit on a check-swing attempt. He was immediately and visibly in pain, bent over with his fingers between his knees.
The pitch was a 90 mph sinker, according to the published.

He walked to first base and was rapidly eliminated from the game after having his hand checked.
Mets supervisor Carlos Mendoza said Alvarez is “getting checked out.”

Alvarez is hitting .265 with seven homers and a .787 OPS this season.
