Freddie Freeman gets real on Dodgers’ deflating…

The Dodgers dropped Game 1 of the National League Championship Series.

The Brewers needed just two runs to beat the Dodgers Sunday. While two-time Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal outlasted NL Cy Young candidate Jacob Misiorowski on the mound, the Dodgers offense managed just a single run.

But Freddie Freeman isn’t anxious.

“Any loss in the playoffs is not great, but it’s a long series. It’s just the first game,” he said.

The Dodgers seem to have the sting in beginning pitching, but Skubal’s 5 innings wasn’t enough to fend off the Brewers. Milwaukee received Game 1 and it could possibly be argued the Dodgers didn’t precisely help themselves in the sequence opener.

The Dodgers had been 1-for-6 with runners in scoring place and left 9 runners on base. Had LA capitalized on any one of those moments, the Dodgers probably would have received the sport.

The back-to-back World Series champions are already placing the past behind them and have their sights set on Game 2.

“We got to focus on the task at hand, and that’s winning the game tomorrow,” Betts said.

The Dodgers deploy World Series MVP Yoshinobu Yamamoto as their Game 2 starter, giving them their best probability to take a recreation at American Family Field.
