Queen legend Freddie Mercury died at his home in Garden Lodge precisely 34 years in the past (November 24) marking the anniversary of his death today. The lead vocalist of the legendary group sadly died aged 45 as he bravely battled AIDS. His tragic last words have been unearthed as his accomplice Jim Hutton described the singer’s distressing ultimate hours.

The only people with him every day over the ultimate weeks of his life had been his accomplice Jim, his PA and buddy Peter Freestone, his ex-boyfriend Joe Fanelli and ex-girlfriend Mary Austin. Hutton, Freestone and Fanelli all lived with Freddie, while Mary was close by. Hutton shared that Freddie “screamed out in pain” as he called for help but ultimately the singer calmed down and went to sleep.

The following morning Freddie had slipped into a coma.

Freestone called Freddie’s doctor and buddy, GP Gordon Atkinson, who administered morphine. Freddie never revived.
