Funny, Touching Mission Statement, We Are All

How would you want to be remembered? 

I do not suppose most of us will get a big celebration of our lives in a stadium with hundreds of people like Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk did on Sunday. 

We would do properly if we bought a few people who converse with love about how we made the world better and how we could have touched their lives. 

Kirk was remembered in remarks, including by President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and his spouse, Erika Kirk. Erika, with great Christian charity, even forgave the person who was arrested for killing her husband.

One of the most touching eulogies – with moments of humor and a rousing mission assertion – got here from his buddy, Donald Trump, Jr.

Don Jr. described Kirk as like a “little brother” to him. 

Don Jr. led off his remarks, noting he wasn’t usually a sentimental man and how he has gotten in bother for posting edgy memes. He then delivered a great imitation of how his father would call him to say how he ought to dial it back and “relax.”

Don Jr.: “If we’re truly gonna honor Charlie properly, his loss cannot be the end of the story. His legacy must be that a million more Charlies step up to fill the void.”

His father and the viewers liked it. 

He also took a humorous jab at Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris, “To say that Charlie knew more about the Bible than me was an understatement. It’s like saying Donald Trump knows more about being president than Hillary Clinton or Kamala Harris. No kidding.”

Don recalled that Charlie said he wished to be remembered for “my courage for my faith.”   

He said he imagined that, like Stephen, the first Christian martyr, Charlie had the same expertise being welcomed by a standing Son of God. 

To see the enjoyment in Charlie’s coronary heart when he was with his household was “to see the Gospel lived out,” Don said. 

He laid out how Kirk reached out to converse with those on the alternative facet of the aisle, even after dealing with threats on school campuses.

Don Jr said throughout Scripture, we hear the time period “Do not be afraid,” and that message of religion, household, and nation couldn’t be silenced by this horrible act of Charlie’s assassination. Charlie’s legacy had to be that “a million more Charlies stepped up to fill the void.”

“We are all Charlie,” he declared.

Trump, Jr., then laid out the mission assertion going ahead, itemizing many causes that can be welcome to the motion, including that if you imagine in God, household, and nation, “You are one of us.”

He completed, “As the scripture promises, well done good and faithful servant…enter into the joy of your Lord.”
